Results typically last around 3 months, though timing can vary from person to person. Your provider can recommend a maintenance schedule based on your goals and how your muscles respond.
Masseter Botox is commonly used to help with:
Jaw clenching and teeth grinding (bruxism)
Jaw soreness or tightness
TMJ-related discomfort.
You may start to feel relief from clenching or tension within about 1–2 weeks. Visible contour changes tend to appear more gradually, typically around 2–4 weeks, and can continue to refine over the following weeks.
There’s little to no downtime. The treatment takes just a few minutes, and most people return to their normal routine right away. You may have mild tenderness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites that usually resolve quickly.
Plan on getting your workout in before this treatment, and avoid exercise, along with other physical activities that make you sweat, for 24 hours after treatment.
Botox requires little to no downtime. You may notice mild redness or swelling at the injection sites, but these effects typically subside within a few hours. Most people return to work or daily activities immediately after treatment.
